Pain Points.

Most causes of pain can be  categorized into 3 groups.

Acute injuries, like a broken bone or whiplash, often result from a specific trauma or impact, affecting a specific area of the body. The pain is usually sudden and sharp.

Overuse injuries, like tendonitis, are the result of repetitive use or stress and trauma to muscles, tendons and joints without sufficient time for healing.

Chronic pain develops slowly over time and is usually long-lasting and recurrent. While chronic pain is sometimes caused by an underlying disease, chronic pain is often the result of an overuse or acute injury that  was not given proper rest and recovery time.

Injury and pain resulting from any of these 3 categories can benefit from hot and cold therapy and plenty of rest.
